Encouragement For Today

Reader,

The word exhaustion doesn’t even do justice to how I feel right now. I’m tired, I’m weary, and I’m mentally spent. I found myself wishing I could go back to bed at 10am this morning. How sad! I barely have the energy to eek out a post, but I know I’m not the only one feeling this way lately.

I had a chance to spend time with a wonderful group of encouraging friends tonight. We shared laughs, good food, and real talk. Many of us are in the same busy season, hoping it’ll slow down soon. So if you’re anything like my friends and I, I thought you could use this pep talk too.

Some days, it’s not fun to give of yourself and sacrifice. It’s tiring, it’s emotionally draining, and it can feel pointless at times. But giving until it hurts is worth it.

Giving your all – whether at work, in your personal life, or even to others – is worth it. Being people of excellence doesn’t come easily. There are days where we all wonder, what’s the point?

So while this season might make you feel like a hamster in a wheel that’s not going anywhere, remember that that’s simply not the case. You are changing lives by your very existence. You are making a difference, whether you sit in an office chair or are feeding the hungry in Haiti. We all have different callings and purposes to fulfill, even in the seasons where we question what they are.

Tonight, I encourage you to breathe. Take a deep breath in, close your eyes, and breathe out. It will be okay, friend. Say no to things you don’t want to do and make time for the people that matter. We will get through this season and it will slow down.

And on nights when you’ve had 4 hours of sleep and are waking up to do it all over again, just remember, that’s why God showed man how to make coffee. 😉

Pressing on,

Manda

I miss your posts! Nice one, Manda. We must press on. We are all called to serve. When we get low, it’s okay, in fact, right to ask God to fill our cups, to restore us, to renew us so that we can get out again and fulfill our purpose.

Amen! You’re always so encouraging Barbara. I’ve been spending a lot more time in the Word and it’s amazing the grace that comes from putting God first. Hope you’re well!
