Today, I lost my breath. I couldn’t breathe. Normally, I would’ve panicked. Except today, it made me thankful.
You see, I had one of the biggest laughs today with my direct supervisor. We were having our weekly business call and I happened to say something that came out the wrong way. Before I knew it, the two of us lost it laughing.
There was a time where I felt overwhelmed and micro-managed by this very same supervisor. Today was proof that not only have I grown, but so has he. We’ve learned how we both work and have given each other the freedom to be who we are.
If you would’ve told me two years ago, that I’d have the heartiest laugh I’ve had in a while, in a meeting with him, I would’ve thought you were crazy. But today, it made me thankful to see that what I once thought was a distant thought, has become a reality: a mutual respect, a hilarious working relationship (at least most days), and the inspiration to always be better than the day before.
What more can you ask for?
Make it a good one, reader!
